These animal carvings are from 200-300 old dead falls near Hartebeesport, South Africa. The trees are thought to have been over 700 years old when they fell, making the wood 1000 years old! Some logs are so hard that the almost can't be carved. The work is done mostly by the Matabele Tribe of Zimbabwe.
