Broccoli

Fall is the perfect time to plant broccoli. Plant 1 foot apart, feed and water. Fertilize again 3 weeks after planting. Harvest when head is still green. It will grow 4 to 8 inches across. In addition to the head, broccoli forms small flowering shoots along the side stem. These are excellent for salads. Garden grown broccoli is truly
delicious both raw or cooked. Aside from tasting good, broccoli is a good source of folic acid, potassium and vitamin c.
