Dwarf Yaupons are a great little evergreen you can plant in winter! They are slow growing (can be kept at 2-4 ft), do not require any special food and can be shaped into a clean ball-shaped topiary. Most of these shrubs do not have berries, but the birds still nest in them. They add character to a landscape that is formal or natural.
