Pansy

Pansies are some of the most vibrant colored annuals for our fall. Their bloom time
is fall through early spring. Because they are compact growers they make a great border.

They bloom best in full sun, during the fall and winter only. Once temperatures
reach mid to high 80s, they decline in folige and bloom. If left in the garden undisturbed, they can reseed the following fall.

To keep pansies looking their best, keep them deadheaded to encourage new
blooms. Slugs can be a nuisance during wet seasons; use slug bait or thin out the planting so it's less damp. Occasionally aphids will attack; soap insecticide should help.
